This is a very special year for Field of Honor as it coincides with our Nation’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries. To celebrate, we will expand the field of 500 flags to include the Declaration of Independence and the 26 Historic Flags that have been used since our Nation’s founding. Each flag includes a placard showing when the flag was authorized and what the flag’s design represents. What an incredible educational opportunity honoring our Nation’s heritage!
In addition to the Honor Medallion ($50), we are offering an Anniversary Medallion, with America 250 on one side and Colorado 150 on the other side.
Field Of Honor Essay Contest
The third annual Field of Honor Essay Contest will again invite third and fourth grade students from all schools within the Pourdre School District boundary to submit a “My Hero” essay. Essays winning first, second, and third place will be highlighted, with all essays in binders for the public to read.
